Physician Assistant Program at a Community College

This video is from a physician assistant program at a community college. By attending such a program at a community college you will save yourself a ton of money. The courses seem comparable and we find a team oriented classroom which is actually typical of most physician assistant programs.

In many ways I believe a physician assistant may be better equipped to deal with a patient’s everyday problems along with unique problems that may come up. A physician assistant is actually trained to be part of a group so this individual is more likely to check with others including the physician overseeing him for advice or input into your unique problem.

It is also as far as I know the only medical practitioner required to requalify. This ensures your physician assistant is up to date on the newest medical technologies. All in all I would be happy to be treated by a physician assistant.

So check out this video and you too can move down the path to becoming a physician assistant.

Central Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA).

I just received a Marywood University. It read as follows:

Thank you for your interest in Marywood universities M.S. Physician Assistant Studies program. As the leading provider of graduate education in the region, the University has a long history of offering innovative degree programs in a vital and exciting learning environment. As you continue to research the program, please visit Marywood’s Physician Assistant department website-http://marywood.edu/pa-program/requirements.html. This site serves as a great source of detailed information about the program.

It is important to note that applications to Marywood’s program are filed through Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA). The CASPA website can be accessed at https://portal.caspaonline.org/. The CASPA application must be completed by December 1. It can take four to eight weeks for CASPA to process your application and submit it to us, so it is advisable to apply early. Coursework for each new cohort begins in May. The application process requires the GRE test results. However, applicants are expected to have taken two semesters of biology with lab, two semesters of chemistry with lab, two semesters of anatomy and physiology with lab, and one semester of microbiology with lab. There is some flexibility in these requirements for those with comparable coursework and/or professional experience.

So it seems pretty obvious to me that applying at Centralized Application Service for a Physician Assistants would be a very prudent move. I recommend doing this as soon as possible.

I hope this information helps you into getting into one of the physician assistant programs available through CASPA.

I highly recommend you clicking on one of the links, getting yourself registered, and applying to CASPA.
